CLIENT BACKGROUND: The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization fighting global hunger, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.

 

CHALLENGE: To raise awareness of global hunger and inspire action towards achieving Zero Hunger, one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

 

GOAL: Create a campaign that emotionally connects with people, highlighting the importance of family meals and encouraging donations to support WFP's efforts.

 

STRATEGY & APPROACH:
Family Meal Campaign: Developed a multi-channel campaign that centered around the universal concept of family meals, emphasizing their importance in nourishing both body and soul.

Photography Competition:
Launched a social media competition inviting people to share photos of their family meals, reaching 38 million people and generating widespread engagement. Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver selected the winning entries.


MasterChef Collaboration:
Partnered with renowned MasterChef photographer Chris Terry to capture stunning visuals in five countries, showcasing the diversity and universality of family meal traditions.


Exhibitions: Designed impactful exhibitions at the European Parliament and various locations in 10 countries, including major cities, airports, train stations, and universities, reaching a total of 21 million visitors.

Digital Presence: Developed an official website and a series of impactful videos to provide information and inspire action.

 

RESULTS & IMPACT:
High Engagement: The social media photography competition reached 38 million people, generating widespread interest and participation.

Visual Storytelling: Compelling images and videos captured the essence of family meals and their importance in combating hunger.
